The SSOP (Swiss School of Prosthetics by Candulor) is the first manufacturer-owned training facility to be certified according to ISO 21001:2018
With its special concept of a comprehensive training program for removable prosthetics, SSOP has always had the aura of a quality brand among the manufacturer's own offerings. A claim that has now also been underpinned by an independent body: through quality management certification specifically for educational institutions in accordance with ISO 21001:2018. For participants in the prosthetics courses, this confirms the strong focus on learners and the high quality standards in terms of curriculum, didactics and staffing of lecturers and experts.
Continuous progress in dental technology and treatment methods as well as advancing digitalization make lifelong learning more important than ever for dental technicians and dentists. From the course series to the certified training concept
The SSOP closes an important gap in the range of training courses when it comes to fundamental, comprehensive knowledge transfer on the subject of "Removable prosthetics". Thanks to this special training concept, it made sense for us to qualify for the demanding audit as part of ISO 21001:2018 certification. What are the benefits of certification for course participants?
The focus of the special certification for educational institutes is on the learners. In practice, this means that the certified educational institute must ensure an optimal and motivating learning environment with infrastructure, equipment, teaching materials and teaching methods that meet the needs of the participants. Another aspect is the establishment of a modern knowledge management system and a modern concept for teaching the learning content, based on defined standards and lecturers with a high level of expertise and a continuous commitment to further development.

Alexander Ewert concludes: "With the QM certification specifically for educational institutions according to ISO 21002:2018, many advantages that have already characterized the SSOP before, but now independently confirm its high, qualitative orientation, become clear. The SSOP thus offers clear added value in terms of sound knowledge transfer, learning environment, individual support, recognition and continuous improvement. In addition, we are dovetailing even more closely with practice and dental laboratories that have already established a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001, in which we offer a training concept and a coaching program for employees with the SSOP that ensures QM-certified further training."
A training program with international comparability
As the SSOP has an international focus and is currently already present in 7 countries, the aim of this internationally recognized standard was also to set an example in terms of the comparability of the training on offer. A point that is very important to Alexander Ewert: "If I, as a participant, am looking for training, I can rely on an institute that has ISO21001:2018 certification, like the SSOP, to have implemented strict quality controls. This ensures that the training programs offered meet set standards.
