Characterization is an unavoidable requirement for a prosthesis that wants to come over as naturally as possible. In these hectic times of increasing digitalization, the characterization of prostheses is a challenge that requires a lot of effort within the technology. De SSOP ondersteunt laboratoria bij het opfrissen en verder verdiepen van deze kennis en vaardigheden.

Therefore she offers a new format within her own teaching portfolio in the form of a one-day workshop 'Esthetische gingiva'. De aandacht ligt daarbij op het praktisch demonstreren van en het oefenen met karakterisering. A step-by-step approach is taken to how a prosthesis can be individually customized and presented. Door de analyse van de verschillende lagen van de gingiva en de specifieke kleursystematiek kan op die manier een schema worden overgebracht op de prothese. The result is a prosthesis that fits as tightly as possible in the area of natural teeth.

Ook bij deze activiteit van de SSOP staat individueel succes binnen het leerproces centraal. This is achieved by the SSOP through the didactically developed program, the professionally trained teachers and the specially developed reading materials. The products that will be used during this workshop are, of course, derived from CANDULOR themselves.
