The SSOP launches a new workshop. Characterization is essential for a prosthesis that aims to look as natural as possible. In hectic times and with increasing digitalization, the characterization of prostheses is a sought-after skill in dental technology. The SSOP (Swiss School of Prosthetics) supports laboratories in refreshing and deepening this knowledge and skill.

To this end, it is launching a new format in its training portfolio with the one-day workshop "Shaping natural gingiva through characterization". The focus is on a practical demonstration and exercise on the topic of characterization. The individual shade design of the prosthesis is developed step by step. By analyzing the different gingival layers and their specific shade systems, a scheme can be transferred to the prosthesis. The result is a denture that comes very close to the natural gums.

This SSOP event also focuses on individual learning success. SSOP achieves this through the didactically developed program, its professionally trained teachers and the in-house, accompanying teaching material.
