Roman's Story
With the SWISS SCHOOL OF PROSTHETICS I not only want to share my knowledge with my course participants, but above all my passion for dental technology and my never-ending desire to become even better every day«. After a prolonged search, I found my vocation in dental technology. For me it's not simply a job, but a »Hobby« to which I devote all my energy. Giving patients an impressive experience, that makes my heart beat faster.
In 2009 I was still on the look-out for a suitable profession. I tried my hand at retail and the automotive sector. I succeeded in both, but I asked myself the question: do I really want to do this for the next decades?
I was looking for a vocation in which I could discover the right perspectives for myself and find the necessary incentive. Through a counselling interview I discovered dental technology. I did an internship in a dental laboratory. And felt good. I found the versatility and perspectives I was looking for right here.
A short time later I started my training as a dental technician. In a great team I had the opportunity to learn a lot from experienced colleagues and to quite literally absorb the knowledge.
The developed knowledge had to be tested and proved my skills immediately. It paid off: 1. place at the Regensburg Award 2014.
Now that is motivating. In two years I acquired considerable insights into numerous dental technical areas and decided in 2016 to tackle the master certificate, to strengthen the basics in detail and to acquire additional in-depth knowledge. This was the only way to give me the feeling of developing my skills.
Until 2018 I worked as a master in the Dental Studio Munich, where I applied all my knowledge and developed a Germany-wide unique fabrication concept. It is great to see what you can do for yourself and your customers. In 2019 I finally opened my own laboratory, Wolfs Art Dentalstudio, in Burglengenfeld.
For me personally, the love of detail and the resulting precision are very important. I view a finished dental prosthesis not merely as a »product«, but as an individual »work of art«. Dental technology is an attractive craft and offers many opportunities due to technological developments. In my opinion, however, a good final product or »work of art« can only be created through craftsmanship and know-how.
With the SWISS SCHOOL OF PROSTHETICS I not only want to share my knowledge with my course participants, but above all my passion for dental technology and my never-ending desire to become even better every day«.
