THE MATERIAL DENTURES ARE MADE FROM

HANDS-ON-COURSE

About the course

The implementation of wax modeling in color-characterized PMMA is the material that lends a removable prosthesis vivid contours, texture, refraction, body and thus deceptively genuine naturalness. The course conveys how and according to which principles the natural-looking RED esthetics are modeled, how artificial teeth appear natural in physical terms and how the prosthetic body is designed myodynamically. A further topic is also how the bond between the artificial tooth and the denture resin remains stable for a long period and how to proceed most efficiently in re-occlusion. In addition, it will be conveyed how the effort required for finishing is already reduced during wax modeling and how finishing reflects the durability and high quality of the craftsmanship.

COURSE OBJECTIVE

The course conveys how replacement teeth acquire a natural-looking singletooth character and how anatomical-esthetic and myodynamic-functional wax modeling is performed. Efficient, systematic steps for investing with silicone cuffs, for isolating and conditioning the artificial teeth are elaborated. The participants are acquainted with characterization schematics for the prosthetic body corresponding to the natural model and how to create their own »characterization roadmap« for completion in PMMA, which is implemented with AESTHETIC COLORS. Pressing or casting is not the question here, both procedures are explained and applied with AESTHETIC RED and BLUE. Where is grinding performed during re-occlusion and where not? This question is answered and practiced depending on the type of posterior tooth used (physiological ABC scheme or lingualized BC scheme). With which tools and in which order excellent results can be achieved most quickly will also be discussed and tested in practice using the example of the prosthesis completed in the course.
